At the start of my second year at UCA, I completed a 6-week unit focused on artist development.
Working with emerging artist Clodagh McGrady (stage name “Kloh-da”), I explored how branding and identity can support an artist transitioning from a band environment into a solo career. The project focused on helping her define a clearer artistic direction following her time in the college band “Melatonin”, where she was exploring her individual identity as a performer.
Together, we developed a visual mood board to establish her aesthetic and personality, drawing on themes such as travel, nature and confidence as part of her public image. I also reworked her artist biography to better reflect her positioning as a solo artist and strengthen her overall narrative.
