In January 2023, I worked with a group of friends to organise a small live music event in Epsom for a band called Don’t Wake The Neighbours. This was my first experience planning a live music event and it helped me develop a range of practical event management skills.

My responsibilities included coordinating with the venue, hiring equipment, designing promotional posters, setting up an Eventbrite page and creating a QR code for ticketing and promotion. I also supported the marketing of the event by sharing it across social media platforms.

The event was a success, attended by friends, family and university students, and it strengthened my interest in pursuing a career in live events and event management.
